Calgary AB – The Alberta Real Estate Association (AREA) and its 10,000 REALTOR® members across the province congratulate MLA Danielle Larivee on her appointment as Minister of Municipal Affairs and Service Alberta.
AREA is looking forward to working with Minister Larivee in her new role, which was announced, along with other Cabinet moves, by Premier Rachel Notley (Thursday).
“There are a number of important initiatives taking place in the Service Alberta portfolio today, including Condominium Property Act regulations and anticipated changes to the provincial land titles system”, said Ian Burns, AREA’s CEO. “We look forward to building a strong relationship with Minister Larivee, and sharing our perspective with her on these matters and others.”
AREA will host its Government Liaison Days on November 3 and 4, and will meet with MLAs bringing forward ideas and engaging in collaborative discussion on how to make the real estate sector even better in Alberta.
AREA thanks outgoing Municipal Affairs and Service Alberta Minister Deron Bilous for his important work, and wishes him well as he continues his review of the Municipal Government Act.
