Airdrie RCMP’s First “Mochas with Mounties” a Success

Airdrie, Alta – Airdrie RCMP hosted their first “Mochas with Mounties” at Sorso Lounge last week and it was a huge success. RCMP developed this program as they wanted a way to engage the community and to connect with the people of Airdrie. What better way to do this than have coffee in an open forum.

Members answered many questions during the event, including how to protect property, ways to deal with neighbourhood disputes, traffic related concerns and RCMP recruiting questions. And one lucky kid got a tour of the police car!

The lounge was full of people and those who attended thought that this monthly event was a great idea. Inspector Kimberley Pasloske, who was in attendance, said, “We were expecting some people to come out and express worry over the crime in Airdrie, but, in fact, the people who attended all expressed that Airdrie is a safe place to live, a fact we as the RCMP already know.”

“Mochas with Mounties” will be a monthly event. Stay tuned for the next date and location!
