Airdrie RCMP Attend Shooting Near Fitness Centre

Airdrie, AB – Airdrie RCMP responded to a report of shots fired roadside near a local fitness centre on Mackenzie Way at about 2:30 a.m. today.  Upon attendance at the scene one adult male was found conscious but suffering from what appeared to be several gun shot wounds.  Little is known at this time as to the cause of the event; however, there appears to have been words exchanged between the victim who was walking and the occupants of a passing vehicle.  The victim has been taken to a local hospital with what appear to be serious but non-life-threatening injuries.  Any previous relationship between the suspects and the victim has yet to be determined.

The RCMP is seeking two adult male suspects who were observed leaving the scene in what was described as a white or silver, larger sized Subaru.  The suspects are described as:

Suspect 1: male, early 20’s, Caucasian, stocky build, wearing dark clothing and a white ball cap.

Suspect 2: male, early 20’s, Caucasian, average build, no hat.

Both suspects are considered to be armed and dangerous. Do not approach the suspects, maintain your safety at all times, and call 911 or your local police.
