It’s the “off year” for the Airdrie Regional Airshow and the perfect time for airplane enthusiasts to visit Airdrie Air Park to see this vintage war plane.

To see landings and take-offs, you should be at the Air Park during the times they are offering rides: Friday July 11th to Sunday July 13th. Flights are at 9am, 10am, 11am, 4pm and 5pm.

The Airdrie Regional Airshow held a Facebook contest to award some lucky person a free ride and on July 4th the draw was made and the winner was Nathan Ellard. He took to the air on July 7th.

Tickets to take a ride in the warbird are available for $350 to $650 USD, approximately $421 to $693 Canadian, depending on where in the plane you sit. To book a ride, call 1-780-263-1425 or visit www.azcaf.org. These rides are only available July 11 to 13th.

The more affordable option would be to tour the cock pit for $5/person or $10/family. Cockpit tours run from July 8th to 10th from 10am to 6pm and July 11th to 13th from noon to 4pm.

The Airdrie Air Park is East of Airdrie on Yankee Valley Blvd.

This event is presented by the Airdrie Regional Air Show. The next Airdrie Air Show will take place July, 2015.
