After a long and exhausting 7-day search and rescue, both DONAVAN & JERRY have been FOUND safe and sound and our search has ended! Jerry was found and rescued yesterday, Friday September 19th, after finding a local farm and hunkering down on their deck.

After a tragic rollover accident on Hwy 2 near Olds, Alberta involving rescue group from Saskatchewan so many people jumped into action to help. Of the 30 animals involved in the accident, sadly 4 dogs died and 8 dogs went missing when their kennels broke and they ran terrified from the accident scene. Thankfully the volunteers from Adopt-a-Paw involved in the crash were not badly hurt and we wish them a speedy recovery. We would like to thank the following groups/people who were instrumental in helping bring the final 8 dogs to safety.

-Volunteers of the following rescue groups who jumped into action and spent countless hours days and night searching: volunteers and staff of AARCS, EJ Rescue, Boxer Rescue of Canada, Hope Lives Here, Calgary Humane, Kismet Foundation and the countless other concerned citizens who came from Calgary, Edmonton, Red Deer and local residents of Olds and area.

-Chinook Country Vet Clinic for providing life-saving care to the injured animals

-Olds College for supplying kennel space to house the animals from the accident scene and their veterinarians and students

-Vets-to-Go for assisting in organizing the searches, trap locations and bringing out a drone to assist in aerial search

-Local land-owners who allowed us to set humane dog traps on their property

-The media for getting the word out and keeping the story current, which resulted in some great tips from the public to help us locate the dogs and ensure we were searching in the right area

Mission accomplished! We will all rest easy tonight knowing everyone is now safe!
