Okotoks, Alberta – On June 20 2016, at approximately 11:50 pm Okotoks RCMP responded to a complaint of a stolen truck and trailer near Highway 552 East in rural Okotoks. The driver and lone male occupant of the stolen truck and trailer was located by Okotoks RCMP at a rural residence. The 24 year old male was arrested without incident for possession of stolen property. Investigation revealed that the truck was stolen from an industrial yard in the town of Okotoks and driven through a fenced gate to escape. The attached trailer which was loaded with over $50,000 of lawn care equipment had been emptied on a rural property near 112 street East of Okotoks.
Okotoks General Investigation Section obtained a search warrant and executed it at the property. Police located and recovered the lawn care tractor and equipment and returned it to the rightful owner.
Tanner MOESKAU of Okotoks has been charged with the following Offences.
- Break and Enter to a Business
- Possession of Stolen Property over $5,000 dollars
- Fail to comply with his Probation Order
- Fail to comply with his Recognizance
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Operate an uninsured Motor Vehicle
- Operate a Motor vehicle without a valid Driver’s Licence
