RCMP Southern Alberta Weekend Update

RCMP Pincher Creek- Fatal Motor Vehicle Roll Over, 5 Passengers Injured

Pincher Creek, Alberta- On April 23, 2016 at approximately 9:00 p.m., Pincher Creek RCMP and emergency services responded to a serious motor vehicle roll over near Cameron Lake in Waterton National Park.

The pick up truck was travelling south bound on Cameron Lake road when it left the road and rolled down a embankment into a creek bed.

The driver of the vehicle was ejected from the truck and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The five occupants managed to exit the vehicle and call for help, all suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The road to Cameron Lake is closed until the investigation is complete.

Alcohol and speed are believed to be contributing factors.

The identity of the deceased is not being released at this time. All occupants are from the Cardston AB. area.

Pincher Creek RCMP are continuing to investigate.

An update will be provided when new information becomes available.

RCMP, Fort Macleod – 5 Charged After Drug Seizure – Update # 1

Three women and two men face numerous charges after a Search Warrant was executed on a residence in Fort Macleod, Alberta on April 22, 2016.

Kimberly CREIGHTON, age 56 of Fort Macleod, Alberta has been charged with Possession of Crack Cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, Possession of Cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of weapons dangerous to the Public peace and possessing a firearm without a licence. She has been released from custody to appear in Fort Macleod Provincial Court on June 1, 2016 to answer to the charges.

Wacey CREIGHTON, age 30 of Fort Macleod, Alberta has been charged with possession of Crack Cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, Possession of Cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, Traffic in a controlled substance, Possession of a weapon dangerous to the Public Peace and possessing a firearm without a licence. She has been remanded into custody to appear by CCTV in Fort Macleod Provincial Court on June 1, 2016.

Sherman LABOUCAN, age 38 of Wabasca, Alberta is also facing 2 counts of Trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of a weapon dangerous to the Public Peace, Possession of a firearm without a licence and Breach of a Probation order. He has been remanded into custody to appear in Lethbridge Provincial Court on April 25, 2016 via CCTV to answer to the charges.

Mekdela KITAW, age 21 of Calgary, Alberta faces 2 counts of Trafficking in a controlled substance, Possession of marihuana, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace, possession of a firearm without a licence and breach of a prohibition order. She is to appear in Lethbridge Provincial Court on April 25, 2016 by CCTV

Khawa JANY, age 19 of Calgary, Alberta faces 2 counts of Trafficking in a controlled substance, Possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace, possession of a prohibited weapon without a licence. He has been remanded into custody to appear in Lethbridge Provincial Court on April 25, 2016 to answer to the charges.
