RCMP High River – Attempted Hit and Run To RCMP Members

At approximately 12:30 am on April 16th 2016 the High River RCMP were conducting a check stop when police attempted to stop a vehicle. The car accelerated through the check stop toward two officers who had to jump out of the way to prevent being run over.  The Okotoks RCMP was able to locate the suspect vehicle shortly after.  The suspect continued their attempts to elude police.  The vehicle was damaged, became stuck and the occupants fled on foot.  With the assistance from the RCMP police dog service and Calgary police helicopter, two suspects where taken into custody.  Charges on both individuals are pending.
