On Sunday April 10, 2016, Turner Valley RCMP responded to a residential break and enter in the 200 block of 1st Street North West, Black Diamond, Alberta. Unknown culprit(s) gained entry to the home through an unlocked window, once inside a sizeable amount of heirloom jewelry was removed, including a unique golden wedding band. It appears that the elderly homeowner, home alone at the time, may have been specifically targeted. The items stolen were of significant sentimental value to her and for her family.
Police are asking that anyone with information about this event, or anyone that may have notice suspicious persons or vehicles in the area on the night of Saturday April 10, 2016 contact Turner Valley RCMP at 403-933-7227 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS). Tipsters are reminded that they do not have to reveal their identity.
