The Black Diamond Town Council has decided not to incur the expenses related to operating a Visitor Information Centre (VIC) this year. The funds that normally supported a VIC will be placed in a reserve for future tourism initiatives.
The Town is asking if any business would like to open a small section of their business for a VIC. The Town will provide the information to put into the VIC and will advertise and refer people to that business. Preferences for a choice of businesses will be in favour of those that open in the evenings. We would like to see the VIC open from the May long-weekend until the end of August.
