2015 River Valley Clean-up and Tree Planting in Okotoks

Sheep River Clean Up bannerThe purpose and intent of the annual clean-up is to encourage year-round stewardship and care of our community’s most precious natural resource, while also directly benefitting the environment. Your help is needed to ensure the event has the necessary resources to continue growing and expanding just like our community.

We invite everyone to attend the Sheep River Valley Clean up and Tree Planting event on Saturday, May 9, 2015 located in Ethel Tucker Park. Registration will commence at 9:00 a.m. and the clean up and tree planting will take place from 10am-noon; a volunteer appreciation barbecue will follow from noon to 1:00 p.m. This event brings together citizen volunteers, schools, service clubs, local businesses, community groups, Town staff and other agencies such as the Calgary Health Region, RCMP and the Fire Department.

There will be lots of fun activities and prizes for volunteers.
