Calgary Flames’ Brian Burke speaking at Oilfields School on community and support for all students


Brian Burke, President of Hockey Operations for the Calgary Flames, will close a FREE series of parent nights at Oilfields School in Black Diamond that began back in February, covering topics ranging from social media safety, and personal excellence to gender discrimination and stereotypes.

Burke, a vocal activist against homophobia in sports, strong supporter of first response personnel and military service members, environmentalist and humanitarian, will address community members on the importance of community and support for all students who want to participate in sports and extra-curricular activities:
