New Album Tin Roof Released April 8, 2016
(March, 2016) – Gord Bamford was bestowed a big honour today by theCMA’s when he was awarded their International Award ‘Jeff Walker Global Country Artist Award.’ The award recognizes outstanding achievements by a Country Music artist originally signed outside of the United States. This is the second time Gord has received this award (2013), and impressively, it is the first time an artist has won it twice. Gord found out he won with a personalized video message from international superstar herself, Reba McEntire.
The award comes just as Gord is gearing up for his seventh studio album release, Tin Roof, coming April 8, 2016 with Sony Music Entertainment Canada. The 15 track album is now available for pre-order here, and fans who do pre-order Tin Roof will automatically receive an instant download of the first single “Don’t Let Her Be Gone,” second single “Heard You in a Song,” and others. The reigning CCMA ‘Male Artist of the Year’ wrote on 12 tracks for the album and collaborated with distinguished songwriter/producer Phil O’Donnell (Blake Shelton, Tyler Farr, George Strait).
This spring Gord is embarking on a coast- to-coast Canadian co-headline tour with Joe Nichols. The “Certified Country Tour” kicks off on April 7, 2015 in Medicine Hat, AB and will make stops across the country in cities between Abbotsford, BC and St. John’s, NF.
