The first “Healthy Development” meeting of the new year is this Tuesday, January 5, 7:00pm at the Griffiths Centre.
The main focus of the meeting will be to update folks on how things are unfolding with regards to the development of a local energy retailer, Sheep River Energy. In addition, there may be updates concerning pathways development.
With regards to Sheep River Energy, Graham, Murray and myself will each give brief presentations on: financing the prudential and the benefits of a cooperative association (Graham); renewable energy initiatives that are germane to our community and early opportunities for signing up for Sheep River Energy (Murray); and an overview of how things have been moving since our last meeting in early November, plus the importance of energy conservation (Chris).
After the presentationsthere will be the usual open time for comments, questions, and conversation.

Sheep River Energy is a cooperative association dedicated to providing electricity, natural gas and green energy options to residents of the Foothills at competitive rates, and with the express purpose of retaining any profits within our communities to promote energy conservation and fund renewable energy initiatives.
