We are excited to announce the 6th edition of Canada’s Coolest School Trip contest! Did you know that next year is both Canada’s 150th birthday and the 100th anniversary of national historic sites in Canada? To highlight these anniversaries, this year’s grand prize is a 5-day, all-expenses paid school trip to Parks Canada places in Nova Scotia, including a visit to Canada’s first national historic site, Fort Anne! There are also five other field trips to local Parks Canada places up for grabs AND five prize packages – the odds of winning have never been better!

To enter, grade 8 classes (secondary 2 in Quebec) must create a one-minute video about the Parks Canada place they would like to visit to celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday in 2017. The deadline to enter is February 27, 2017. For trip details, and complete contest rules and regulations, visit www.myparkspass.ca.

The My Parks Pass program inspires students to explore, learn and build a lasting connection with Canada’s treasured places. All grade 8/secondary 2 classes receive free admission to Parks Canada places when entering as a class. This offer is only valid until the end of December, 2016. Why December? Great question, and we have a spectacular answer. In 2017 all visitors will receive free admission to Parks Canada places in celebration of Canada’s 150th birthday. Moreover, in 2018, all youth under 18 years of age will enter Parks Canada places for free.
