Christmas Concert

snowflakes-bannerOn Wednesday, Dec. 21, there will be two Christmas Concert performances, 1:10pm and 6:30pm, with Grade 6 student volunteers the hosts of our show. Due to our growing school community and limited gymnasium capacity, we will be offering an afternoon performance this season. Please attend the performance time that works best for you.

Tuesday afternoon we will be having a dress rehearsal and any Tuesday/Thursday kindergarten parents/family are welcome to attend. This will begin at 1:10pm We look forward to celebrating the students hard work and getting into the Christmas spirit!

Please note: Students need to be in their classroom by 6:15pm sharp the night of the concert.

Gingerbread Houses!

gingerbread-houseAll students at Turner Valley School will be building gingerbread houses in the gym on Friday morning, December 23.

Students are asked to bring a small bag (sandwich sized “Ziploc”), of assorted small candies to decorate their individual houses. Please label your child’s bag of candy with their name. Leftover Halloween candies, mini marshmallows, “o” shaped cereal all work wonderfully for this project! We ask that you please refrain from sending any candies containing peanuts or tree nuts as we do have some severe allergies in our school. All parents are welcome to come and join us on this fun, festive, sticky and delicious morning!

We are in need of a few parent volunteers to help make this morning possible. Please contact your child’s teacher if you can help.
