HIGH RIVER, AB: The Town of High River has launched a new economic development and marketing campaign designed to attract new businesses, residents and visitors to town. The campaign will shift external perceptions away from the flood and highlight all the great assets High River has to offer.
“High River is an amazing community filled with incredible people. Whether you are looking to raise a family, start or expand your business, or just put down roots, High River will be a great place for you,” said Jodi Dawson, economic development manager for the Town.
The campaign was created in partnership with Red City Creative Agency and plays off of the name ‘High River’ by finding different phrases that showcase key aspects of living in the community.
Some examples include: ‘High Life’ – representing the town’s high quality of living and amenities like a world class golf course; ‘High Noon’ – for the town’s various special events including the Little Britches parade and rodeo; and ‘High Returns’ – for the strong entrepreneurial spirit of residents and the great investment opportunities throughout High River.
“A huge amount of work has been done over the past three years and we think it’s time to start telling the High River story to the world,” added Dawson.
The heart of the campaign is a new website, www.choosehighriver.ca that is filled with resources about investing in High River, relocating to town, and details on special events throughout the year. This website will replace the current tourism website and act as a portal for all new potential investors and residents.
The campaign also includes short promotional videos, digital marketing and print advertisements. This initial launch is just the beginning of the campaign, as the Town plans to adapt and expand its marketing efforts as the campaign continues to be rolled out in the coming weeks and months.
