Premier Promotes Alberta at Climate Week in New York

Premier Rachel Notley will travel to New York City this Sept. 18-20 to promote Alberta’s Climate Leadership Plan to global leaders, and meet with investors and business leaders.

During her mission, the Premier will:

  • provide remarks and participate in a panel discussion at Climate Week NYC
  • attend a dinner hosted for the Honourable Enrique Peña Nieto, President of Mexico
  • meet with the Carlyle Group, one of the world’s largest investment firms
  • participate in an investor’s roundtable on energy
  • meet with editors of Bloomberg Media

“Growing and diversifying our economy in step with our Climate Leadership Plan presents an opportunity to invest in new technologies that will create jobs and reduce emissions. People from across North America, including President Obama, have recognized that Alberta is reducing emissions while promoting growth. As Albertans, we know that our expertise in responsible, innovative energy production is as valuable as any of our resources.”
