Lake Louise RCMP advise motorists of Trans-Canada Highway closure West of Field B.C.

Lake Louise, Alberta –  Crews have cleared a portion of the rock slide to allow for one lane, alternating traffic to move through the area. In addition, a planned closure West of Field is scheduled to take place for an estimated three hours later this afternoon as additional road work is completed. Motorists travelling highway 1 are advised to expect delays as this takes place. Traffic is no longer being re-routed however, the alternate route through highway 93 and highway 95 to Golden remains open.
