Canmore, Alberta – On August 28, 2016 at 4:45 p.m., the Canmore RCMP received a report that a 38-year-old male base jumper at the Grotto Mountain area was deceased after an unsuccessful base jump.
The Canmore RCMP are currently investigating this accident, however it appears that this is not being considered a suspicious incident.
The name of the deceased male is not being released as per the Federal Privacy Act. No further information will be provided on this occurrence.
