Canada Remembers September 11th

On September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks claimed the lives of nearly 3,000 people at the World Trade Center in New York, at the Pentagon in Virginia and in a quiet field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

24 Canadians lost their lives that day, 15 years ago, and first responders from our country crossed the border to help our neighbours.

An RCMP Mounted Police is shown at the Beechwood National Memorial Cemetery, beside the monument in rememberance of the Canadians lost in the September 11th attacks during the 10th Anniversary Memorial Service held at the Beechwood National Memorial Cemetery on September 11, 2011.
