November and December are big months for Rowan House
November is Family Violence Prevention Month. Domestic violence thrives in secrecy so it’s important to keep the conversation going all-year round. However, Rowan House uses this month to raise the volume on our awareness activities and get the community involved. This year is the 30th anniversary of Family Violence Prevention Month and the theme is Reach Out/Speak Out. We have a fun social media campaign around this that’ll use the hashtag #SpeakOutwithRowanHouse. More details to come next month!
November also marks the beginning of Rowan House’s Christmas Campaign. Through our Holiday Wish Book we work to raise money to bring a little joy to women and children fleeing abuse during this difficult time of year, as well as provide some of the basic necessities for residents throughout the rest of the year.
