Foothills Lions Club Celebrated 50 Years of Community Service in 2016
The Foothills Lions Club came into existence in 1966 and to celebrate this milestone they held a very special Charter Night Anniversary celebration on April 30th, 2016. Over the last 18 years the Foothills Lions Club has donated over 1.6 million dollars to our Diamond Valley Communities and Humanitarian needs around the world.
Volunteer Projects Black Diamond Campground, Charity Golf Tournaments, Foothills Lions Family Spray Park, CLERC (Canadian Lions Eyeglass Recycling Center), Town of Black Diamond Light-Up, Town of Turner Valley – Diamond Valley Starlight Celebration, Diamond Valley Parade and Discovery Days, Turner Valley Triathlon, Project Green Day, etc.
WE NEED YOU! Foothills Lions Club welcomes new members. Energetic, purpose driven individuals with a zest for community involvement are needed. If work and family time-constraints limit your volunteer involvement, the Foothills Lions Club still has a place for you.
There are many upcoming volunteer projects in the Diamond Valley area over the next 2 years that the Foothills Lions Club will be participating in; therefore, your volunteer contribution of an hour or two each week or each month lightens the load for all.
