A letter from a past resident of Rowan House
To all of the amazing staff at Rowan House.
I don’t even really know where to begin!
When I arrived here, three weeks ago, I was scared, confused, unsure. Today I feel happier, stronger and so much better than I have in a long time. (Also a bit sad today. It’s bittersweet to leave a place that has given me so much and all these people who have been so kind, supportive and understanding.)
I just want to thank you all for everything you have done for me and how amazing you all are! Every single person here has the right job because everyone has helped me learn and grow in different ways. Your caring and compassion will continue to keep me strong, even after my stay here ends. I really can’t thank you all enough. I know it may be cheesy or cliche but being here has changed my life. It has taken me off of a path that would have destroyed me and my boys. I will always remember my time here in a very empowering way and you will always have a special place in my heart.
