We are so thankful to all the participants of the OAC’s rally a few weekends ago, and the wonderful businesses that made this event possible. From clothing boutiques to pizzerias to pottery studios, we had it all at the Taste N’ Task Rally. We heard again and again that there were so many amazing businesses that people hadn’t heard of- so here it is. 51 artists, experts, shops, musicians and delicious stops that you need to know about.
As you may know, our newest initiative is to support and advocate with community stakeholders in a proposal and feasibility study for a larger, multi-use Performing Arts Centre. This event and future events like this help to support our mission.

It was fun to be a part of this rally. Teams of four arrived at the Gazette office at DJ Ranch and were handed their task. We were asked to provide abut a five-minute task for each team to complete. As writing is an art form we put them to work on being creative with words. We had them come up with advertising hook lines for DJ Ranch that would catch the attention of Gateway Gazette readers – watch for them in future ads on our site.
The Okotoks Arts Council welcomes members, and no, you don’t have to be an artist! Please check out their website and join – http://okotoksartscouncil.ca/join
